What is Meditation?

Meditation is a powerful practice for realising health, wellbeing and personal growth.

Put simply, meditation is the practice of calming the mind. It offers a way to free our minds from the thoughts and emotions that limit us, so that we can cultivate a calm, relaxed and positive way of being.

Through the practice of meditation we can discover how to let go of physical and mental tension, maintain a balanced mind under all circumstances, and achieve our full potential.

Meditation can be used to:

  • relax the body and calm the mind
  • provide relief from stress and anxiety
  • improve your overall health
  • manage physical and emotional pain
  • increase energy and vitality
  • enhance self-awareness, and
  • create stillness, clarity and contentment. 


The good news is that meditation techniques are profoundly simple, and can be practiced by anyone at any time. You don’t need to sit sill for hours on end, nor do you need any religious beliefs. To experience the benefits of meditation all you need to do is learn how to meditate, and then practice.

We offer meditation classes for beginners, and intermediate classes for those with some experience.
