About Learn to Relax

Learn to Relax provides skills-based stress management training to schools, workplaces and individuals. Our programs deliver a powerful combination of mindfulness training and clinically proven relaxation techniques to build stress resilience, enhance mental clarity and increase capacity to perform under pressure.  

Stress management techniques are not rocket science. In fact they're incredibly simple. The challenge for most of us is integrating the techniques into our everyday lives so that we actually experience the benefits. This is where Learn to Relax comes in. From individual assistance to a comprehensive workplace stress management plan, we specialise in providing our clients with the skills, structure, process and support they need to build stress resilience and reach their potential.

Kylie Shacklock BSW MA MAASW

Kylie Shacklock is an accredited mental health practitioner with over 15 years experience as a social worker and counsellor in the health, education, government and corporate sectors. She has extensive experience in the management of chronic disease, stress and anxiety and specialises in stress-reduction and lifestyle change.

Kylie has a particular interest in mind/body medicine and has continued her professional development with a Diploma in Therapeutic Meditation. She is a qualified Health Coach and is passionate about helping her clients to identify and achieve their health and lifestyle goals.



Will Shacklock
BSurv DipNRM MIICT

Will Shacklock is the managing partner of Melbourne-based stress management consultancy Learn to Relax. Will started his working life as a land surveyor, and after achieving his professional accreditation, moved into Natural Resource Management, supervising the harvesting of native forest in far-east Gippsland. In 2002 Will subjected himself to 10 days of silence and intensive meditation at a Vipassana meditation retreat, sparking a significant change in life direction, and an ongoing fascination with anthropology and the workings of the human mind.

In the mid-2000's Will spent two years studying and teaching at meditation retreats in Australia and India, and he now specialises in delivering resilience workshops and training programs to corporate teams, and to teachers and students in Victorian schools. Will includes practical techniques in every session, and he empowers his clients to overcome their limiting beliefs and fulfil their potential.

“Stress management techniques are really simple” says Will. “The challenge lies in putting them into practice. When we practice regularly and consistently we feel more balanced, calm and focused, even in ‘stressful’ situations.”
